Recall alert: Half a million Mighty Bliss heating pads recalled after injuries reported

BOSTON — The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Monday advised consumers, caregivers and health care providers not to use recalled Mighty Bliss electric heating pads distributed by Whele LLC after fielding multiple injury reports linked to the products.

Boston-based Whele, doing business as Perch, recalled more than 500,000 of the heating pads distributed between July 2021 and July 2022. The affected heating pads were sold nationwide on both Amazon.com and Walmart.com.

No deaths have been linked to the recall to date, but Perch has fielded injury reports ranging from electric shocks and skin burns to rashes and irritation.
