According to the recall, issued in conjunction with the inspection service, the raw, frozen cubed pork loin steak fritter item was produced on June 16, 2022, and sold in 10.14-pound bulk cases containing 27 pieces of “GOLD LABEL AdvancePierre Our Deluxe Cubed Pork Loin Steak Fritters” with lot code 1672AFE06. The recalled fritters also bear establishment number “EST. 2260Y” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The affected fritters were shipped to distributors in Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska and Virginia, before being further distributed to restaurants and other food service operations.

As per the recall, the problem was discovered after Enid, Oklahoma-based AdvancePierre notified the inspection service that it had fielded two complaints from restaurant staff reporting that they found hard pieces of plastic in the product.

There have been zero confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of the fritters to date.

Restaurants and food service operators are advised not to serve the affected fritters and to either discard the products or return them to the place of purchase.
