NFL reporter Tom Pelissero reported Monday afternoon that Wilson is part of a trade that would send the future Hall of Famer to the Denver Broncos, KIRO-TV reported.
According to ESPN Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the trade has been made after weeks of negotiations.
Blockbuster: After weeks of negotiations, in one of the largest trades in NFL history, the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos have agreed to terms for a deal involving Super-Bowl winning QB Russell Wilson, sources tell ESPN.
“One of the largest trades in NFL history,” Schefter said.
The trade gives Denver the quarterback it has sought since Peyton Manning retired and it gives Seattle a foundation on which to rebuild without the quarterback who led the Seahawks to their only Super-Bowl title.
According to NFL Network, the Seahawks have agreed in principle to the trade that would send the nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback to Denver, while the Broncos informed quarterback Drew Lock that he is part of a package deal that will send several first-round draft picks and a few key Broncos to Seattle.
Drew Lock is a part of the trade to the Seahawks, per sources.
