DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Alex Bowman will start on the Pole for the third time in the Daytona 500 on Sunday.
He had the fastest qualifying time on Wednesday night at Daytona International Speedway and will start on the front row for the sixth straight Daytona 500. That is a new record at the Great American Race.
His teammate at Hendrick Motorsports Kyle Larson will start in second place. Hendrick went 1-2-3 in qualifying on Wednesday.

Hendrick driver William Byron was third fastest in the final round at 180.727 mph. Bowman went 181.686 mph and Larson went 181.159 mph.
Jimmie Johnson and Travis Pastrana earned two of the open spots in the Field of 40. Thirty-eight spots are filled and the other two spots will be filled Thursday at the Duel 150′s at Daytona.
