Transportation changes coming to Walt Disney World

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Walt Disney World Resort continues to evolve its guest experiences to the changing times. The travel industry is changing, and guests have more transportation options to choose from than ever before, including ride-share services that save time and offer more flexibility to go where they want, when they want.

Moving forward, Walt Disney World will no longer offer Disney’s Magical Express service for airport transportation, starting with arrivals Jan. 1, 2022. WDW plans to continue to operate the service for new and existing reservations throughout 2021, according to Disney.

Disney plans to continue its complimentary transportation options such as buses, monorails and the Disney Skyliner.

Disney kicked off the new year by bringing back the Park Hopper option, with new options focusing on health and safety.

If you are planning a vacation to WDW, Disney just released a special new offer. Guests can get two extra days added to their ticket when they buy a four-night, three-day room and ticket package at select Disney Resort hotels for arrivals most nights now through Sept. 2, 2021.

Those aren’t all the changes coming to Disney. As part of its 50th anniversary celebration, some Disney guests will be able to enjoy more fun with 30-minute early entry to any theme park, every day.

The Extra Magic Hours benefit was suspended last summer and will not return as WDW continues to manage attendance with health and safety issues a top priority.

According to Disney, they remain focused on exploring new ways for guests to spend more time with their friends and families, and creating memories to last a lifetime.
