VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla.,None — Fire investigators in Volusia County are trying to figure out how three house fires started in less than an hour.
Firefighters responded to the first fire on West Halifax Road in Oak Hill at 11:04am Sunday. When firefighters arrived, the home was fully-engulfed in flames.

One firefighter had to be taken to a local hospital after suffering from heat exhaustion.
The second fire started less than ten minutes later and less than a mile away on Maytown Road in Oak Hill. According to officials, the home had been abandoned for years. It was also fully-engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.
The third fire started just before 11:45am near the intersection of Lake Harney Road and Osteen-Maytown Road in Osteen. When firefighters arrived to the mobile home, it was fully-engulfed in flames and the residents had already gotten out.
Firefighters from Volusia County, Brevard County, and Edgewater all responded to the fires. Officials say the fires are suspicious. The State Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate.
