‘Feeding More Together’: Publix collecting donations to help support local food banks

Next time you shop at Publix, you’ll have an opportunity to donate money that will go to local food banks.

The grocery chain launched its Feeding More Together campaign this week to support food banks in the Southeast.

The customer donations will provide dollar credits, allowing food banks and pantries to select from a variety of nonperishable food items they most need to serve their clients.

Officials said each dollar donated at the register will be matched by Publix with purchases of produce from farmers. All donations will support Feeding America member food banks and other local food banks.
