Food distribution at Camping World Stadium aims to provide relief amid pandemic

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A local foundation is looking to provide a bit of relief for those who could use a helping hand during the current pandemic.

Most food distributions have enough food for a few hundred, but the ReachBack Foundation planned to give out 2,000 bags of food and supplies at Camping World Stadium.

“I have (a) 26-foot truck full of food, so what God has called me to do will be done and I thank him for it,” said Sandra Henry, the founder of ReachBack Foundation.

The number of distribution events seems to have dwindled as the months have continued with job uncertainty due to the coronavirus.

The foundation planned to hand out bags of food to at least 1,300 families Friday.

Volunteers passed out bags filled with meats, fruits, vegetables, cheese, soaps and other supplies.

The event began at 10 a.m., with the first driver pulling in at 5:30 a.m.
