ORLANDO, Fla. — Spirit Airlines has started the process of bringing back several more flights to Orlando International Airport.
The airline announced it will officially resume dozens of flights since the COVID-19 pandemic forced them to cut flights in and out of OIA.

Spirit was only doing 16 destinations in May and about five flights per day.
The airline will gradually add new daily flights, expecting to have 45 flights per day in July.
“We’re starting to gradually come back. We were 96 to 97% down as of yesterday, 83% down. We are moving in the right direction but a long way to go,” said Phil Brown, the CEO of Orlando International Airport.
