On the Hidden Mickey hunt at Disney's new Fantasyland

Let's enjoy a few more Hidden Mickeys in the New Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom. The Disney Imagineers placed some truly compelling Hidden Images here! Many of their creations are carved in rock, so they'll stick around for a long while. For example, the Under the Sea - Journey of The Little Mermaid attraction is filled with great Hidden Mickeys.

Circular depressions in rock form a classic (three-circle) Mickey along the entrance queue at the top right of a large rock that sits in the middle of a small lagoon and in front of a waterfall.

Some Hidden Images are not Mickeys! This Nautilus submarine is further along the entrance queue of The Little Mermaid attraction; it's carved in a rock wall behind a small pond to your left. Spot the round porthole that resembles an eye; the nose of the submarine points to the left. The Nautilus is the submarine commanded by Captain Nemo in the Jules Verne novel "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea" and in the Disney movie adaptation of the novel.

Find another classic Mickey at the lower part of Gaston's statue in front of Gaston's Tavern. Gaston is a character in the Disney movie "Beauty and the Beast."

The Mickey image is made of dark depressions in the rock near the waterline, on the back side of the statue and below Gaston's left leg.

Speaking of other Hidden Images, take a look at a Hidden Oswald, the Lucky Rabbit! It’s near the sign for the Enchanted Tales with Belle attraction.

Search for Oswald not far from the sign and in the middle of the main walkway to Be Our Guest Restaurant. He’s made of pebbles embedded in the cement walkway. Oswald was created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks before Mickey Mouse was born. Walt lost the rights to Oswald but Disney reacquired him in 2006, so Hidden Oswalds are now appearing on Disney property! Unlike Mickey, Oswald has long floppy ears.

Another great classic Hidden Mickey is on the Barnstormer sign in the Storybook Circus section of Fantasyland.

Study the lower airplane in the right middle of the sign. A tiny gray Mickey hides in the middle of the propeller!

Finding Hidden Mickeys makes Fantasyland even more enjoyable!
