Legoland Florida theme park opens for business

WINTER HAVEN, Fla.,None — Central Florida's newest theme park, Legoland Florida, opened for business Saturday morning.

The attraction, located in Winter Haven, opened to guests at 10:00 a.m. Saturday.

Legoland Florida is a 150-acre theme park that caters to kids ages 2 to 12. The park features family-focused rides, shows, and Lego displays.

A one-day ticket to Legoland Florida costs $75 for adults and $65 for children under 12-years-old.

Legoland Florida was built on the property where the Cypress Gardens attraction used to be. Cypress Gardens closed its doors in 2009 after operating for more than 70 years.

The theme park is near the intersection of Legoland Way and SR 540 in Winter Haven, Polk County.
