ORLANDO, Fla. — A local literacy nonprofit is looking for volunteers to help strengthen the comprehension skills of the one in five adults in Central Florida who read at or below a 5th grade level.
The Adult Literacy League will host two days of training for interested volunteers.
The nonprofit focuses on educating adults in the community to become productive members of society by providing courses like general education, math and ESOL.

Volunteers sessions will be held on July 25 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and on July 28 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
