2-year-old, 7-year-old killed after Lake Underhill Road crash

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando police are investigating after two children were killed in a crash early Thursday.

Officers said the two-car crash happened around midnight in the 4100 block of Lake Underhill Road.

Police said a Toyota Camry, with a woman and her two children, ages 2 and 7, collided with a Lincoln MKZ near Conway Road.

Both children in the Camry were rushed to Arnold Palmer Hospital, but the toddler did not survive.

The 7-year-old was taken to the hospital with critical injuries but died from his injuries just after midnight Monday, Orlando police said.

The children’s mother and the driver of the Lincoln were also hospitalized but said to be “stable,” according to OPD.

The roadway was shut down for several hours but reopened around 4:30 a.m., police said.

Those involved in the crash have not been identified.

Orlando police said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
