3 found dead inside car at Melbourne apartment complex

MELBOURNE, Fla. — Three people were found dead inside a car in Melbourne late Sunday, according to police.

At around 10:50 p.m., police officers said they responded to a suspicious vehicle call inside the Manatee Cove Apartments complex in the 700 block of Madelyn Way.

Officers said they found a car and three people dead inside.

The investigation was turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division which is actively investigating, police said.

The people have not been identified.

Just five minutes before this incident, a person was shot in the front yard at a home on Canal Street.

Officers said the two incidents are not related.
