ORANGE COUNTY, Fla.,None — The man accused of trying to kill professional boxer Christy Martin is talking about the charges against him.
Jim Martin talked about his reaction when his wife told him she was leaving him for a woman. ESPN interviewed Jim Martin in the Orange County jail.
"I still love her," said Jim Martin. "You know, I always will if she wants another woman over me. I even told her, you know a day or two before, 'Christy if there is another woman or another man just tell me I can deal with that.'"
Martin is accused of shooting, stabbing and beating his now ex-wife in their Apopka home.
He will stand trial early next year.
