3 people found dead in car identified as woman, her 3-year-old twins

MELBOURNE, Fla. — Police said the three people found dead in a car at a Melbourne apartment complex were identified as a woman and her 3-year-old twins.

Police said Andrea Langhorst, 35, of St. Lucie County, and her two 3-year-old children, Olivia and Adam Dryer, were found dead inside a car at the Manatee Cove Apartments complex in the 700 block of Madelyn Way around 10:50 p.m. Sunday.

“The windows are all fogged. They said there’s like a really bad stench coming out of it,” a 911 caller said. “But, you can’t see into the car ‘cause the windows are so fogged.”

Detectives said the family appears to have been living transiently out of the vehicle along the east coast of Florida.

Police said the investigation into the incident remains active, and detectives are working closely with the Brevard County Medical Examiner’s Office to learn more about their deaths.

Detectives said they have no reason to believe there is an active or persistent danger to the community.

Langhorst’s father said he doesn’t believe his daughter was living out of her vehicle. He said she has friends all over Melbourne.

He said she spent the entire month of December at his home.
