BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A brush fire flared up in the median of Interstate 95 Sunday afternoon in Brevard County.
The small brush fire started near mile marker 232, but it was quickly extinguished by Brevard County Fire Rescue personnel.
Heavy smoke created some visibility issues in the area, officials said.
Dry conditions across Central Florida have sparked several brush fires in recent weeks.
Officials were also busy Sunday evening battling a 500-acre fire on Merritt Island.
