However, the problem is people haven’t been able to give as much as they once did, and more and more people are seeking out help.
The ministry offers food, clothes and hygiene products, as well as haircuts, laundry and medical services.
However, Pastor Scott Billue said the services aren’t what they once were. While the number of people donating is up, he said the economic hit with inflation has many donors giving less.
“It’s not that their hearts have changed it’s their ability to help has changed,” Billue said.
In addition, they’re seeing anywhere from five to 10 new people a week needing help and cost of goods is going up.
For the first time in 13 years, the ministry has laid off workers.
