Florida reports more than 12K new COVID-19 cases, total cases surpass 350K

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Florida health officials reported 12,478 new COVID-19 cases Sunday as well as 89 coronavirus-related deaths.

The total number of coronavirus-related deaths is 5,091.

The latest local deaths include three in Orange County, two in Marion County, two in Seminole County, two in Volusia County, one in Brevard County and one in Sumter County.

“Coronavirus

The state reported 350,047 total coronavirus cases since the pandemic began.

As of Sunday, state health officials reported that 20,971 people are hospitalized with the virus, an increase of 339 from the day before.

So far in the state, health officials reported that 2.65 million tests have come back negative, including another 58,175 on Sunday.
