Huey Magoo’s, the local chain of chicken tender restaurants that was founded in 2004, has hit a milestone.

On Sept. 25, President and CEO Andy Howard announced the opening date for the 50th Huey Magoo’s — a 2,500-square-foot restaurant in Arden, North Carolina, just south of Asheville.
It’s news enough for the homegrown concept that started in a small space next to a gas station catty corner to the University of Central Florida — but that’s not the half of it, say execs for the Lake Mary-based chain.
