Her other daughter, Judy Schult, called authorities about her missing mother Sunday.

That’s when deputies who went to the home found the caller’s sister, Amy Day, who had moved in with her 79-year-old mother about five years ago after a divorce and a couple of DUIs.

Detectives said Day did not help in their investigation and lied about being on a trip to Gainesville at the time her mother disappeared.

Detectives said they believe Day is somehow involved in her mother’s disappearance.

Day used to work at the Sheriff’s Office as a dispatcher but was let go.

Schult told authorities she was sure something was wrong with her mother when she called authorities.

“She called last night and I could not understand her. She was headed to Colorado with a friend named Rose, but she has never left this town,” said Riddle.

Investigators have not been able to confirm Rose exists and while searching for Hawkins they found a body in her backyard.

Detectives said they also found clues in Hawkins’ garage, but would not say what the clues are or how they’re related to the investigation.
