WINTER PARK, Fla. — The City of Winter Park issued a precautionary boil water notice for all Winter Park water utility customers.
The notice was issued Tuesday afternoon after an 8-inch water main broke, officials said.
Officials said the areas affected include Lee Road and Adanson Street extending north and westerly to include those portions of Kingswood Manor, Queenswood Manor, Asbury Park, Forest Edge and Lake Weston.
People are advised to boil water for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing.
Water should be heated to a rolling boiled for at least one minute.
The notice will be in affect for at least 48 hours and will not be lifted until the water main work is completed and bacteriological surveys show that the water is safe to drink.
