ORLANDO, Fla. — Several local governments and businesses are holding hiring events this week to fill open positions.
Orange County’s Public Works Department is hosting a hiring fair Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at their Apopka Maintenance Unit on Clarcona Road.

Available positions include maintenance, highway utility repair, and masons.
Starting pay rates range from $15.61 per hour to $18.39 per hour. Qualified candidates could receive an offer immediately.

The City of Winter Park is also hosting a job fair this week to promote a range of openings they have available.
In addition to management, they’re looking for specific trade workers like mechanics, electricians, equipment operators, and parks and facilities attendants.

The Winter Park job fair will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the city’s operations facility on Howell Branch Road.
Attendees will have an opportunity to learn more about each opening and meet the hiring managers.
Applicants are encouraged to bring their resumes and be prepared for immediate interview opportunities.

Waste Management is also hosting a hiring day event in Brevard County Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Waste Management of Cocoa on Lake Drive.
They’re looking for drivers, technicians, and recycling personnel in Brevard County.
