Low supply of existing homes on the market lead Central Florida homebuyers to new builds

As a result, some frustrated buyers are forgoing that fight and building their own homes.

After moving to Central Florida two years ago, Marcia and Lucas Porta began looking for the right home for their growing family and quickly found themselves in more than one bidding war.

To turn down the stress, they decided to build a turnkey home near Avalon Park.

“I swear it was the best decision that we could have made,” Marcia said.

Figueroa team realtor Christina Dalton led the Portas through the experience that she says 60% of her clients are choosing.

“Just wait it out that way we get what we want, its brand new, we don’t have to fight,” Dalton said.

The Portas said an open mind led to the customized, smart home of their dreams in less time and for less money than renovating an older property.
