Malfunction causes monorail at Disney to stop with passengers on board

ORANGE CONTY, Fla. — A monorail at Epcot in Walt Disney World became stuck while passengers were riding it Friday, officials with the park said.

They said the Blue Monorail had a malfunction and they don’t know what caused it to stop.

No one was evacuated.

They said the vehicles were not damaged, and the Blue Monorail is not running as technicians work to figure out what’s wrong.

Ambulances and fire trucks were at the scene.

A Twitter user said he found a piece of metal that flew off the monorail.

No other details were released.
