ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies in Orange County have arrested a man six months after a deadly shooting.

Officials said Jeremy Jamal Smith, 38, was arrested for the July 2024 murder of Monique Jade Brooks.
Brooks was found shot to death on July 19, 2024, on South Orange Blossom Trail, near the Florida Mall.
Deputies said Smith was charged with first-degree murder and is currently in jail on unrelated charges.
