Multi-vehicle crash involving 2 semitrucks shuts down I-75 early Sunday, firefighters say

OCALA, Fla. — One person was hurt after a major traffic crash shut down Interstate 75 early Sunday in Marion County.

Ocala Fire Rescue said five vehicles, including two semitrucks, were involved in a crash at around 5 a.m. on southbound I-75 near exit 350.

The incident started with a single-vehicle crash in the area, but several drivers crashed as first responders were on the way.

Firefighters said one of the two semis involved also jackknifed on the highway.

Although damages ranged from major to minor, only one person was injured and taken to the hospital.
