Medical examiners are no longer certifying COVID-19 deaths in Florida.
The responsibility now falls on physicians.

The Medical Examiners Commission said, “The overwhelming number of cases have resulted in insurmountable and growing backlogs for many districts throughout the state.”
Independent physicians will be certifying all coronavirus deaths in Florida. However, medical examiners can still investigate a questionable COVID-19 death.
