A manager there showed us an email from the franchise owner, Anthony Friel, sent last week.
The email blamed an issue with deposits at the bank.

“There’s other protocols that all my employees are subject to, such as closing the restaurant when they were told not to,” he said. “Doesn’t matter why, but if you close the restaurant and I tell you not to and they do, that’s a violation of company.”
Friel, who runs dozens of restaurants from Tampa to Orlando, said the issue won’t happen again because he has lined up a special line of credit.
