Ocoee woman accused of selling bogus Universal Studios tickets

OCOEE, Fla. — An Ocoee woman is accused of running a fraud scheme involving the sale of bogus discount tickets to Universal Studios.

Ashley Buck, 29, is facing 17 charges, but she's also under investigation for cases in Orange County and the city of Winter Garden,

Victims told Ocoee police they would pay Buck $25 and receive a confirmation number by email

But when they showed up at Universal Studios to enjoy a day at the park, they found out the confirmation numbers didn't work.

Police said she made some of the cash deals at her Ocoee home and some at a home in Winter Garden.

Buck’s neighbors in Ocoee said they would often see lots of cars come and go from her home.

“Cars would come and put stuff in the mailbox or go up to the door and put stuff down,” said resident Karla Lysiak.

Police said Buck told victims she worked at Universal.

Police in Ocoee and Winter Garden said she sold at least 30 tickets.

Buck was also arrested in an Orange County Sheriff's Office case with more than 60 charges, including forgery, theft and scheme to defraud.

The state attorney's office didn't take action on them, but the case remains under investigation.

Buck, who was already on probation for another theft case, remains in jail.
