Officials condemn troubled Titusville apartment complex

A Titusville apartment complex with a history of problems has been condemned.
The city said the Blue Beach Club apartments, which many refer to as Bay Towers, are too dangerous for anybody to go inside without a mask and breathing equipment.
The city gave property owners 60 days to fix any issues.
A portion of the roof was ripped off again during Hurricane Irma, similar to what happened during Hurricane Matthew, but the biggest concern is inside the building.
The city believes there's a mold problem and the air might not be safe.

The property owners have hired experts to test the air and look for mold.
A building official said there was water getting inside the building and no ventilation for at least two weeks.
After Matthew, the inside wasn't as dangerous because air was able to get inside.
“We had more ventilation in the building. All the windows were blown out. The doors were open and everything. So, we had a lot more fresh air moving through so it was a bit safer,” said Titusville building inspector Gary Setepalavich.
FEMA is helping the residents.
