ORLANDO, Fla. — Comcast, which owns Universal Orlando Resort, will update shareholders on its most recent financial results Thursday morning.
The company’s last earnings call was in July.
In the last report, leaders said construction on Universal’s new Epic Universe theme park was indefinitely put on hold.

In a conference call with investors, NBC Universal CEO Jeff Shell said the company would be pausing development of the new park until “our future becomes more certain.”
The park, which was being built on 750 acres near Sandlake and Kirkman roads, was scheduled to open some time in 2023.

In the last earnings call, Comcast said revenue from theme parks decreased 94% because of COVID-19 closures.
The company’s theme parks in Orlando and Japan reopened in June. Universal Studios Hollywood has not reopened.
