ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol troopers say they’ve clocked drivers going more than 120 miles an hour on the new Interstate 4 Express lanes.
Troopers said they’ve handed out dozens of tickets to drivers going 40 to 50 miles per hour over the speed limit.

At least one driver clocked in at 131 mph, which is more than double the 60 mph limit. That driver was hit with a $1,000 ticket while others received $356 fines.
“A lot of these drivers are giving the excuse that they thought they could go faster in the express lanes,” Lt. Kim Montes said.
