Ocoee police searching for clues in triple shooting that left 2 people dead

OCOEE, Fla. — Ocoee police are asking the public for any information they have regarding a triple shooting in a grocery store parking lot, where two people were killed.

The shooting happened around 3:39 a.m. on Saturday outside the Aldi on W. Colonial Drive near Home Road, police said.

Ocoee police told us when they arrived they found three young men shot inside silver four-door Nissan Altima. The car had crashed into a wall.

“I don’t want to speculate, but I’m sure its related to the shooting. When the original call came in, it was originally as a traffic crash or single-vehicle crash,” Ocoee Police Lt. Mireya Iannuzzi said.

According to police, one of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene, and the two other victims were taken to the hospital.

On Sunday, one of the victims, 22-year-old Jamy Blanc, succumbed to his injuries.

The identity of the victim who was pronounced deceased on scene is pending positive identification and notification of next of kin.

The other victim, 19-year-old Kens Fregiste, remains in critical condition.

Fregiste’s brother told WFTV that he is improving, but he has no clue who would have shot his brother and his friends.

Ocoee police are working with few clues, and hope surveillance cameras in the area may have captured something.
