OIA remains busy as travelers head home after holiday trips

ORLANDO, Fla. — People are starting the trek back home from their holiday travels.

Monday is expected to be the fifth-busiest day of the travel period at Orlando International Airport.

Nearly 161,000 people will pass through OIA on Monday.

Winter weather is also impacting flights around the U.S.

As of Monday morning, 27 flights were canceled at OIA.

People who traveled on Christmas Eve dealt with large crowds.

At one point, only one parking lot at OIA still had open spaces.
