Orlando Pride set to return for in-person celebration this fall

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando’s annual Pride event is set to return to Lake Eola Park for an in-person celebration this fall.

Come Out With Pride announced last week that Pride will kick off all day on Saturday, Oct. 9.

“With many in our community having already been, or soon to be, fully vaccinated, we are optimistic that we can enjoy a safe celebration for all who wish to participate,” organizers stated. “We are actively monitoring the latest developments and will comply with all applicable local and CDC guidelines as they are updated.”

Pride looked a bit different last fall due to the pandemic, with virtual events and a socially distanced parade.

Organizers said they’re striving to bring an event to Lake Eola that rivals or even exceeds the scope of what was presented in 2019, but they “ask for your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate coming out of a difficult period.”
