ORLANDO, Fla. — Big trucks were on the move Friday to help get much needed food supplies out to the Orlando communities that need it the most.
It’s all part of a federal program that has partnered with the Orlando Union Rescue Mission to feed more than 1,500 families this week.
The Farmers to Families initiative brings national, regional and local distributors to help those impacted by the closure of restaurants, hotels and other food service businesses.
“We bless families in Deltona, we take food over to families in DeLand, also in Lake Helen as well,” said Gregory Holder with New Hope Church.
