“When I endorsed Vice President Joe Biden, it just felt good,” Demings said.

“You know, I’ve had a lot of jobs, where people say, ‘Why would you want that job?'" Demings said.

Those jobs that include social worker, Orlando police chief, most recently impeachment manager for the case against President Donald Trump, and possibly a vice presidential nominee.

“I love being a member of Congress, but if asked, I would consider it an honor,” Demings said.

Demings revealed what it is about Biden that makes her want to help fight to get him to the Oval Office, touching on an issue important to the state’s LGBTQ Democratic caucus conference that brought her here and talking about what she feels she could add to Biden’s campaign, whether she’s on the ticket or not.

With Florida’s primary just a week and a half away, Demings said she plans to stump for Biden, who she recently endorsed. She said she will also give her full support to whichever candidate wins the nomination.
