Police respond to Lake Brantley High School after tip about student with weapon on campus

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — Lake Brantley High School was placed on a “Code Yellow” alert Friday after reports that a student was on campus with a weapon.

School officials said the alert was issued after they were told a student had a knife on campus.

Law enforcement was called to search Lake Brantley High School and the student they were looking to question was not found at the school.

“At this time, law enforcement and our team will continue to investigate this allegation to determine the legitimacy of the tip we received,” school officials said.

Officials said all students and staff are safe and the school is secure.
