Search continues for teen who disappeared from St. Cloud earlier this week

ST. CLOUD, Fla. — A St. Cloud teen still hasn’t been located after disappearing from the Hungry Howie's on U.S.  192 early Monday morning.

Amanda Haynes' mother said her daughter has left before to hang out with friends but never for this long.

Investigators believe the 15-year-old climbed through her bedroom window Sunday night to meet up with some friends but never showed up.

The investigation started after Amanda's friends found her cigarettes on a bench in front of the Hungry Howie's where they were supposed to meet.

"She is not answering anybody on Facebook," said Amanda's mother, Denise Haynes. "She is not checking her messages on Facebook. My daughter is one who if she goes to a friend's house and she's going on Facebook on her phone, she is looking at it."

Denise Haynes said her daughter doesn’t even have a cellphone with her.

"We went door to door knocking on doors asking if anybody has seen her," said Amanda's mother. "All over St. Cloud. I think we hit every house in St. Cloud yesterday."

The police interviewed Amanda's boyfriend and his friends who were supposed to meet her at the pizza shop, but Haynes said the boys have been ruled out, leaving her more questions than answers.

Haynes' mother has also been putting up fliers around the neighborhood to find her daughter.

Anyone with information is asked to contact authorities.
