The Sugar Express Santa Trains brings holiday cheer to thousands of the kids in Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. — On Saturday, the Sugar Express Santa Train brought the joy of the holiday season to local families in parts of Florida.

Santa traveled to Belle Glade, Clewiston, Moore Haven and Lake Placid on the Sugar Express, powered by historic steam engine No. 148, to deliver toys to kids in need.

U.S. Sugar partnered with the United States Marine Corps and Toys for Tots to bring more than 2,000 toys to children from across the farming region of South Florida.

“This is our second year operating the Santa Express, and we couldn’t be happier delivering these gifts to our friends and neighbors,” said Scott Ogle, operations manager for Sugar Express. “What a joy it was to see the smiles on the faces of so many local children and their parents.”
