WFTV launches Mega TV in central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. — MegaTV

, a network owned and operated by Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS) (NASDAQ:SBSA), has signed an agreement with

WFTV

Channel 9, a full power station owned and operated by Cox Media Group

,

making the station

Mega TV’s

official local affiliate in the Orlando-Daytona-Melbourne DMA.

The agreement now makes MegaTV's high quality Spanish language programming available over-the-air on WFTV 9.2 as well as on digital cable via BrightHouse channel 469, Comcast channel 209, CenturyLink Channel 10, Cox Cable 118 and Decca Cable channel 717.  The Orlando television market is the 17th largest U.S. Hispanic DMA according to Nielsen Ratings. MegaTV programming is also broadcast through satellite systems in Orlando, Florida including DIRECTV and ATT U-verse.

The station will transmit MegaTV's acclaimed programming including, "Lo Mejor de Radio en MegaTV," "Paparazzi Magazine," "El Show de Fernando Hidalgo", "Esta Noche Tu Night with Felipe Viel" and "Bayly," among others.
