PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. — Federal court records in Florida show a woman used honey to help her swallow 54 pellets containing cocaine in a trick she learned from a television show.

On Monday, Regis Walker, 29, of Pembroke Pines pleaded guilty to smuggling cocaine into the U.S.

Walker faces a maximum 20 years in prison, but will likely get less.

The South Florida Sun Sentinel reports that Walker told federal agents she learned about using honey to make the pellets go down easily from the Netflix TV show "The Mule." The drugs were detected by an X-ray after Walker's May flight from Jamaica arrived in Fort Lauderdale.

Walker spent five days in a hospital to pass the pellets, which contained a little more than 12 ounces of cocaine.
