One injured in Ocala shooting

OCALA, Fla. — The Ocala Police Department is investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital Friday night.

Officers were called to SW 1st St. near the intersection with SW 23rd Ave. just before 7 p.m. for reports of a shooting.

Police arrived to find the 21-year-old victim with two gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Police say a witness told them the suspected shooter fired from the passenger side of a silver or grey four-door sedan, possibly a Hyundai.
