Parents, you may want to hide those Oreos and Toblerones a bit better.
Mondelez International Inc. told investors this week that it will be raising the price of popular snacks, USA Today reported.
Oreos, Toblerones and Sour Patch Kids will rise between 6% and 7% in January.
This won’t be the first time the price has gone up.
Higher prices helped sales in the latest quarter.
Part of the reason for the increase in the price is because of higher costs for the supplies to make the treats, and transportation shortages, CEO Dirk Van de Put told CNBC.
He said it’s been difficult making sure stores have the stock that they need too.
Van de Put also said that more people are staying home, so demand for cookies and chocolate has risen, CNBC reported.
