According to police, the victim was walking along the 300 block of West Main Street around 8 p.m. on March 24 when he was hit.
Two days later, Apopka police released surveillance photos showing a possible suspect and their damaged vehicle sometime after the collision.
Investigators say the pictures led them to Hernandez- Santa Cruz’ home, where the suspect vehicle was found.
Police say they were then able to obtain an arrest warrant for Hernandez- Santa Cruz.
He’s being held in the Orange County jail on no bond.
