MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Gov. DeSantis announced that he will sign an executive order to allow hospital and law enforcement agencies to bring back recently retired workers in the battle against COVID-19.
DeSantis wants to make sure Florida has enough workers as the number of coronavirus cases continue to rise here in the state.
The governor spoke Monday morning from the testing site at the Hard Rock Hotel in Miami.
The measure does prohibit certain employees from returning to work within 6 months of retirement.
DeSantis also said areas in South Florida such as Miami-Dade needs a stay at home order, while still rejecting it statewide.
