Tree falls on powerlines in Port Saint John

PORT SAINT JOHN, Fla. — A large tree fell onto power lines in Port Saint John on Wednesday.

The tree fell onto power lines in the Royal Palm area.

Florida Power & Light crews are working to clear the debris.

Homeowner Mark Fordham said his wife called him in a panic after the tree fell.

“She said she heard popping and the tree fell, so it was kind of scary,” Fordham said.

The tree didn’t damage their home and there was no fire.
