2 dead, 1 injured in shooting at apartment complex near Kissimmee

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies in Osceola County are investigating a deadly shooting at an apartment complex near Kissimmee.


Deputies said they responded to the apartment complex just after midnight Tuesday after reports of multiple gunshots being fired.

Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez said two people died and one person was injured in the shooting.

“It was a shootout, like the O.K. Corral,” Lopez said.

Lopez said two of the people shot were taken to a hospital, where one of them died.

Another victim was found dead at the scene, Lopez said.

Deputies said they believe the shooting is drug-related and there is no threat to the community.

The identity of those involved in the shooting has not been released by law enforcement.

Drone 9 is flying near the complex, which is located off Osceola Parkway between John Young Parkway and Orange Blossom Trail.

Crime scene tape is strung across part of the parking lot.

Multiple evidence markers are also visible on the first and second levels of one of the building’s corridors.
