ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies are trying to find out who shot at an Orange County home with five people inside, including a 3-month-old girl.
The shooting happened just after 4 a.m. Tuesday at a home on Siplin Road.
“I told my husband, do not open the door. I don’t know what that was, but it sounded like gunfire,” said Tangela Chimney.
After calling 911, Chimney said her husband went outside. That was when he found several bullet holes in the outside of their house and another in the car in the driveway.
Among the five people in the home at the time of the shooting was a 3-month-old child who had just been put in bed after being fed.
Chimney says one bullet went through the window of her brother’s bedroom, and luckily, he wasn’t in bed at the time.
“My brother, that could have been my brother’s life this morning. I could have been preparing to bury my brother,” Chimney said.
Deputies say the family wasn’t able to help with any description of the shooter and hope the community can provide leads.
